CAN I HIRE YOU FOR A PRIVATE ROLLER DISCO PARTY
No I'm sorry this is something we don't offer, but there is nothing to stop you hiring another room in the leisure centre on the nights we meet for your gathering and cake and then join us for skating with your group, we would ask if you are doing this to let us know so we have enough stewards available on the floor to help if needed.
I HAD MEMBERSHIP TO THE LEISURE CENTER AND SKATING CLUB BEFORE LOCKDOWN IS IT STILL VALID
Leisure center membership
people's memberships were suspended while they were closed due to Covid but were restarted when they reopened in April, so your membership may have lapsed since then.

Skating membership
it was decided not to carry forward membership and to start a fresh from when we started up again.
HOW DO I JOIN A MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Firstly, check we are open, but essentially just turn up. If you're not sure you want to participate that's fine also, come in as a spectator and see if its something you would like to try.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE?
No, you don't have to be a member to participate. Membership is however available, if you are going to be joining us on a regular basis it can help you save a few pennies.
HOW OFTEN DOES ARUN ROLLER SKATING CLUB MEET?
Every Saturday night 7pm until 9pm except for Bank holiday weekends and the Chrismas holidays
DO I NEED MY OWN SKATES OR CAN I BORROW SOME
We have a wide selection of well maintained roller skates in most shoe sizes and the best bit is they are free to hire for the night.
WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO GET IN THE LEISURE CENTRE THEN AGAIN FOR SKATING.
As i understand it the skating club gets a special price for regularly booking of the hall but as part of this the centre charges an entry fee to the centre. I personally try to think of it as one fee split and for two hours of entertainment is still great value for money.
if you are joining us weekly then becoming a member of the leisure centre will save you a bit on that entry fee, also our own club membership halves the admission cost to skating.
DO YOU HAVE LIGHTS AND MUSIC EVERY WEEK
No, we only get the disco lights out for four themed roller discos during the year which are, Spring, Valentines, Halloween and Christmas.
Music we do have for every session throughout the year.
CAN I REQUEST A SONG
Yes, you can request a song but it won't be added until the following week as all songs need to be checked for profanities
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT
No, we don't have an age limit. We get all ages skating from toddlers to pensioners. we do ask that minors be accompanied by a Parents or a Guardian.
CAN I BUY REFRESHMENTS OR BRING MY OWN.
The leisure centre has its own cafe area towards reception and there are vending machines around the centre.
We ask that drinks and food be left on tables provided by the skate hire box and not taken into the main hall and that you use that area when you need a drink etc.
